Welcome to Wesley
Methodists have worshipped here since 1887, but we like to think we have something real here for today.
We aim to preach the gospel on a daily basis, not solely from the pulpit, but through practical and visible commitment to serving others in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
We look forward to welcoming you.
We believe that the door to salvation is open to all, and so are the doors to our church. Our mission is simple - to Love God, Follow Jesus, and Serve our Neighbour.
Whilst we are proud to belong to a world-wide organisation, we aim to provide a service to the varying needs of our local community here in Canton, Cardiff.
We have a regular attendance of around 55 members, who meet for worship each Sunday morning at 10:30am.
On the third Sunday of the month, we meet instead at 4:30pm, in the more informal format of Tea-Time Praise. As the name suggests, this concludes with tea or coffee and light refreshments, to which all are welcome.
Please refer to our News and Resources pages on this website or our Facebook page for updates regarding service times etc. during the Pandemic.
This is an ever-changing situation and we will regularly review our arrangements in an effort to provide various opportunities for worship
Rev Alexis Mahoney
We are delighted to welcome Alexis, who was recently ordained and has taken over the role of minister at Wesley. We are grateful for his ministry among us.
We are conscious that many members are unable to meet with us at the current time, so we have decided to stream and record Sunday Services. Please see our resources page.
We are getting used to our recently installed audio/visual system so please be patient with us..!
Our charity for the year...
Rainbow of Hope is a Cardiff based charity reaching out to homeless and disadvantaged people, including asylum seekers and refugees.
We are delighted to be able to support them in their mission to relieve people suffering from poverty and distress by providing or assisting in the provision of food, shelter, clothing and grants of money and also by offering support and advice to such persons. Please see our News page or click on the logo to visit their website.
